Psychodynamic therapy focuses on exploring how past experiences, relationships, and unconscious patterns may influence your present thoughts, emotions, and ways of relating to yourself and others. Together, we can develop a deeper understanding of recurring patterns, emotional difficulties, and internal conflicts within a supportive and reflective therapeutic space. This approach encourages greater self-awareness and insight, helping clients better understand themselves and navigate life’s challenges with increased clarity and compassion.
A mind-body approach recognises the close connection between our emotional and physical experiences. Stress, anxiety, and difficult emotions can often show up within the body through tension, overwhelm, fatigue, or a sense of disconnection. In therapy, we may gently explore how emotions are experienced physically, while developing greater awareness, grounding, and self-regulation. This approach supports a deeper connection to yourself and can help foster a greater sense of balance, safety, and emotional wellbeing.
The first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another and to explore what has brought you to therapy at this time. You may wish to share some of the challenges, experiences, or feelings you have been navigating, as well as any hopes or expectations you may have for the therapeutic process. There is no pressure to know exactly where to begin or to have everything figured out. The session is intended to be a supportive and open space for reflection, curiosity, and conversation. We will also discuss practical aspects of therapy, including confidentiality, session structure, frequency, and what approach to ongoing work may feel most supportive for you.
Therapy is an ongoing and exploratory process that creates space to reflect on your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and lived experiences with greater curiosity and awareness. Together, we may notice patterns, explore underlying feelings, and deepen understanding of how past and present experiences shape your inner world. The process unfolds at your own pace within a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship.
All sessions are held virtually, offering flexibility and the opportunity to engage in therapy from a space that feels comfortable and supportive to you.
